Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Georgia seeks a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks on commercial routes, collecting waste and recyclables and transporting loads to transfer stations or landfills.

The role serves multiple customers daily and requires safe operation and route adherence. Key duties include pre/post-trip inspections, interacting with customers, logging daily route data, using GPS/maps, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate
• Must be able to meet safety sensitive functions per company standards
• Must be able to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste and recyclables
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and dump loads
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition reports
• Interact courteously with customers and the public
• Maintain and submit a logbook and route/productivity sheet as required by law or policy
• Maneuver truck into/back from tight spaces using mirrors
• Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses
• Follow safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
• Carry out other duties as assigned
