The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's PennDOT is seeking a CDL Operator A to support maintenance crews by operating trucks and related equipment, performing daily checks, and ensuring safe work practices.

The role includes flagging traffic, performing manual tasks, making minor repairs, and assisting mechanics, with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and occasional overtime. Telework is not available.

Competenze

• Active Pennsylvania Class A or B CDL with Air Brake restriction removed.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate per FMCSA regulations.
• Active certification issued by PennDOT in heavy trucks and loaders within probationary period.
• CDL endorsements and certifications required for specific equipment.
• Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N) required during probationary period.

Mansioni

• Operate trucks, loaders and construction equipment and complete daily checks.
• Flagging duties to guide traffic during active work operations.
• Use hand tools to clean culverts, cut brush, dig ditches and repair guiderails.
• Make minor repairs and assist mechanics when needed.
• Follow safety rules, report hazards and stay alert to risks in the work area.
• Apply environmental protection steps required in maintenance activities.
