Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program or equivalent Federal/Government title.
• Graduation from a Commercial Driver’s License Training School or equivalent.
• Combination of experience and training accepted.
• Active CDL (Class A or B) with Air Brake Restriction removed.
• Active Medical Examiner's Certificate per FMCSA.
• Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N) required during probation.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, loaders, and equipment used for highway maintenance.
• Perform daily equipment checks and maintain CDL credentials.
• Flag traffic to manage work zones and ensure safety.
• Carry out manual labor such as clearing brush and repairing guiderails.
• Assist mechanics with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards in the work area.
