Job summary

Waste Management is hiring drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks, collecting waste and recyclables and delivering loads to disposal or recycling sites. The role requires safety adherence, pre/post-trip inspections, and precise backing maneuvers in urban environments.

Offering a pay range of $22.00 to $31.00 per hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus, Monday–Friday shifts starting at 5am with some weekends. Benefits include medical, dental & vision, 401K with match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• No experience required; ability to read, write and speak English well enough to interact with the public.
• CDL A with air-brake endorsement or CDL B with air-brake endorsement.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks with various load attachments and transport material to disposal, transfer or recycle facilities.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document checks.
• Back up with highly skilled maneuvers and navigate high-traffic areas.
• Collect residential waste or recyclables and service containers safely.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and communicate service interruptions.
