Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience within the last 5 years
• Ability to pass DOT physical and DOT drug screen
• Strong communication and leadership for classroom and field instruction
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Train students in trucking/driving and maintain scheduling of classes
• Administer written tests and evaluate grades
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of commercial motor vehicles
• Instruct air-brake tests and backing maneuvers
• Deliver instructional material with effective communication and engagement
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies and regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism and provide mentorship to students
