The role requires driving program oversight, scheduling, compliance, and coordination with industry employers for recruitment and job placement while maintaining safe training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 22 years of age or older.
• Valid State of Maine Class A license and insurance approval to drive college vehicles.
• Valid State of Maine CDL Instructor license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction for CDL candidates.
• Assess student performance and advise on licensing and career goals.
• Maintain safe training environment; inspect vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance and oversee yard operations for safety and readiness.
• Manage scheduling, recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, medical testing, and program development.
• Collaborate with industry employers for recruitment and job placement.
