Qualifications

• CDL license valid; class must meet position level.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience in last 5 years.
• MVR and background check including drug screen.
• Must pass road test and DOT physical/drug screens.
• Maintain valid DOT Medical Examiner Certificate; pass ongoing DOT tests.
• Knowledge of pre-trip inspections, air-brake tests, and CDL driving basics.
• Ability to teach shifting patterns and motor vehicle operations.
• Motivation and enthusiasm for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Convenes all assigned classes per their start and end times.
• Maintains safety for students and staff, and protects materials and records.
• Deliver instructional material for trucking/driving topics.
• Instruct tests and evaluate student progress for CDL licensing.
