Job summary

Republic Services offers a Driver Trainee program in the United States, designed to train you to obtain a CDL and transition into a Driver role across residential, commercial, industrial, or roll-off lines.

The program includes classroom study, on-route training, and resources to help you pass the state CDL examination. Upon completion, you will move into a Driver position with competitive benefits and wage opportunities.

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

• Complete CDL training program and obtain CDL.
• Complete twelve (12) months of employment after obtaining a CDL.
• Learn to inspect the vehicle pre- and post-operation to ensure safety and report issues.
• Learn to drive a heavy/ commercial truck on a route and service customers on the route sheet.
• Learn to operate controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of material at the facility.
• After CDL, perform Driver duties in one of Republic Services’ lines of business.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
