Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is seeking a Driver Trainee in Fort Worth, TX. You will learn essential driver duties, including accurate product distribution, while gaining exposure to warehouse operations.

The program builds toward becoming a licensed McLane Driver with extensive safety training and customer-facing responsibilities. Starting pay during training is $22.25 per hour, followed by a potential annual post-training salary of $75,000 to $100,000.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
• Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operates Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) and documents receipts and temperatures.
