Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a transportation driver to safely operate community vehicles and assist residents with mobility. You will drive residents to activities and appointments, secure wheelchairs, and perform basic vehicle maintenance while ensuring safety compliance and a positive resident experience.

The role requires a CDL, strong driving record, and knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance within a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Five or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate a 7–16 passenger bus; may also operate a limousine or car and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive community vehicles to social and other destinations per schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicles safely.
• Secure wheelchairs and help stabilize them during trips.
• Perform safe driving practices at all times and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and service with fuels and lubricants.
• Monitor daily/weekly trip inspections and maintenance records.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to residents' apartments.
• Support Engage Life Department activities as needed.
• Submit travel expenses to the business office daily.
• Maintain a safe driving record per company guidelines.
• Handle emergencies and basic First Aid when required.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Executive Director.
