Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a dependable Transportation Associate to safely transport residents to and from activities within the community and nearby destinations. This role requires strong driving skills, a CDL, and a focus on safety and customer service.

You will assist residents with boarding, secure mobility devices, and ensure on-time arrival for activities while maintaining vehicle upkeep and reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience/training or equivalent.
• Five or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventive maintenance programs.
• CDL required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate 7–16 passenger bus and related equipment.
• Experience with on-road maintenance and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation for residents between homes, community activities, and destinations.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle, securing wheelchairs as needed.
• Practice safe driving techniques and maintain a clean, well-serviced vehicle.
• Perform daily/weekly trip inspections and coordinate maintenance with the Engage Life or Maintenance Directors.
• Deliver groceries and other belongings to residents’ apartments as required.
• Record travel expenses and maintain driving records per company policy.
• Handle emergencies and report unsafe conditions to leadership.
