Job summary

OATS Transit is seeking drivers to serve seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the rural public in Missouri. Assigned to mini-vans, Ford Transits or a wide body bus, you will be a non-exempt hourly employee dedicated to safe, courteous transportation across Festus and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include assisting riders, securing mobility devices, and maintaining vehicle condition. The role requires a DOT-compliant physical, drug screening, and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• CDL or Class E license required with no more than 4 points.
• Must be able to pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and undergo random drug/alcohol testing.
• Must be bondable.
• Every driver uses an in-vehicle tablet; computer experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned vehicle and assist riders on and off the bus.
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and good condition.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Use in-vehicle tablet for trip information and timing.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and submit to regional office.
• Attend routine paid training.
• Comply with all rules and regulations.
