Job summary

OATS Transit in Appleton City, MO is hiring drivers for mini-vans, Ford Transits, and wide body buses. This non-profit service supports seniors, individuals with disabilities, and rural communities. The role is non-exempt, hourly, with flexible day shifts.

As part of the OATS Transit team, you will assist riders and ensure safety, vehicle readiness, and timely trip execution. A CDL is required, and the position offers daily/scale hours with paid training and benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Class E or CDL license required with no more than 4 points.
• Must pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and random testing.
• Must be bondable; able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Treat riders with respect and assist them on and off the bus.
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices and follow procedures.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report issues and inspections.
• Use in-vehicle tablet for trip info and timing.
• Complete paperwork and attend training.
• Comply with rules and regulations.
