FedEx Freight, Inc in the United States (Iowa, Dubuque area) is seeking a driver responsible for operating tractor-trailer combos and handling dock duties. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, trailer hookups, and freight handling with forklifts and pallet jacks, while ensuring secure loads and DOT compliance.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and customer service, with hours that may vary and a starting pay of $27.26 per hour.

Formación

• Must possess a class A CDL or commercial learning permit before entering job classification.
• Must possess acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under 391 FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds several times a day/week.
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch about delays or equipment issues.
• Provide internal/external customer service and determine pickup/delivery needs.
• Where needed, perform road driver or freight handler duties.
