Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL or commercial learner permit (CLP).
• Must have an acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulations under FMC rules.
• Basic math abilities with or without calculator.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate forklift when required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and reports.
• Follow Dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Comply with hazmat regulation and placarding requirements.
• Perform forklift and freight handling as needed.
• Assist with city driver or freight handler duties as required.
