Job summary

FedEx Freight in Wisconsin is seeking a tractor-trailer driver. You will operate combinations (including doubles) and perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip inspections to ensure safe, compliant operation. This role may include non-driving duties at the dock, forklift operation, freight handling, and maintaining daily logs.

You will follow Dispatch instructions and respond to delays or equipment issues. A Class A CDL, clean MVR, and knowledge of DOT regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A or CLP before entering job.
• MVR must meet hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT 391 regs.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, inter-trip inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Verify and complete required documentation.
• Communicate with Dispatch on delays, arrivals, equipment issues.
• Follow hazmat regulations and placarding as required.
• Perform freight handling including forklift/ pallet jack/ hand truck when needed.
• Other duties as required.
