Job summary

FedEx Freight is looking for a CDL driver to operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles. Responsibilities include safe driving, pre/post-trip inspections, logging hours, and completing paperwork. Occasional dock work and forklift tasks may be required. Starting pay is $25.64 per hour with potential overnight stays.

Candidate must meet DOT requirements, maintain a valid CDL, and demonstrate strong safety and customer service. This role is based in Greenwood, IN and offers full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL or commercial learner permit (CLP).
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT 391 regulatory requirements.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hook up and break down trailers that require lift force ~100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Follow Dispatch instructions and comply with hazmat regulations.
