Job summary

Starting rate of pay is $25.64 per hour, with opportunities to advance. Candidates must meet DOT and MVR standards, lift up to 100 pounds, and work in varied weather and road conditions.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL (or CLP) prior to entering job classification.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds several times a week.
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies to/from tractors or trailers.
• Handle freight using motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps and rope.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
