Casella Waste is seeking a CDL Driver Apprentice in Maine to obtain a CDL permit and complete federally required CDL instruction and training. You will work with a knowledgeable Driver Trainer and progress through the program as you pass the CDL licensing exam and road test.

The role includes hands-on route exposure, safety emphasis, and opportunities for advancement through a Career Pathways program with merit increases and safety bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip inspections and ensure safety equipment is functional.
• Operate various waste collection vehicles safely across routes.

• Complete route documentation and required paperwork accurately.
• Assist driver with backing maneuvers and support learning on route.
