Job summary

QXO is seeking a driver to perform touch-freight tasks, loading and unloading materials and ensuring safe, efficient delivery operations. Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 2+ people interaction with safety mindset.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull heavy loads.
• Experience with loading/unloading and equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT safety procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting/carrying products over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect trucks, load materials, verify load accuracy.
• Notify management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect sites for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain communication with dispatch for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you'll bring:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
