Job summary

QXO is seeking a dependable CDL Class A driver to support our on-site loading and distribution operations. You will perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect trucks, verify loads, and ensure safety on site.

The role requires at least 12 months of commercial driving experience, willingness to work outdoors in all weather, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We offer comprehensive benefits, retirement plan, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Conveyor truck experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
