Job summary

QXO is seeking a safety‑minded CDL Driver to support our growing distribution and installation operations in Florida. The role involves delivering building products, handling heavy items, and ensuring loads are secured and compliant with DOT rules.

You will inspect trucks, coordinate with the dispatcher, and help maintain a zero‑incident environment while working outdoors in varying weather. We offer comprehensive benefits and a company‑paid training program.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle touch-freight tasks and heavy lifting over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, verify load accuracy.
• Report hazards to branch management on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for safety.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Adhere to DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you\'ll do:

• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
