Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL driver to support loading, unloading, and on-site operations for building products. You will pre-inspect trucks, verify loads, and communicate with the dispatcher to ensure timely deliveries, while following DOT safety procedures.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat, at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Heavy equipment experience and the ability to lift heavy loads are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• Hazmat certification or ability to obtain.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting and carrying loads over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you\'ll do:

• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load

• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site

• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading

• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products

• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
