Job summary

QXO is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Gainesville, FL. You will perform essential touch-freight tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safe delivery of products while adhering to all safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and a 401(k) with employer match.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting products over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatcher for timely delivery.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you'll bring:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing
• NCCCO & Crane Institute Certification required
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
