Job summary

Lansing Building Products in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a CDL Driver to join our field team. You’ll split time between delivering materials to job sites and supporting the warehouse, delivering exceptional service to our customers while representing the Lansing brand.

Responsibilities include operating a moffett forklift, maintaining safe loading practices, and collaborating with drivers and customers. A CDL B license and clean driving record are required, with forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record.
• Experience with moffett forklift preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Experience with building products is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Lansing representative delivering outstanding customer service.
• Splits time between deliveries and warehouse tasks.
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interacts with customers and crews at job sites.
• Maintains a clean, orderly warehouse; may perform cycle counts or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
