Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to join our delivery/warehouse team. This role involves daily deliveries, customer interactions, and occasional warehouse tasks, with emphasis on safety and service.

The driver will operate a moffett forklift, maintain a clean driving record, and lift up to 70 pounds as needed. Candidates should have a CDL license (B or A) and at least one year of driving experience.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Moffett forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift boxes up to 70 pounds.
• Experience with building products is helpful.
• Strong customer service and positive attitude expected.
• At least one year of driving experience required.
• Forklift certification and piggyback experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement.
• Acts as a Lansing representative with outstanding customer service.
• Split time between deliveries and warehouse work.
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interacts with customers and crews at job sites.
• Provides exceptional service to Lansing customers and improves service levels.
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly.
• May perform other functions such as cycle counts, inventory, or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a \"get-the-job-done\" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
