Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to serve customers by delivering building products and supporting warehouse operations. The role requires operating a moffett forklift, maintaining safety and quality, and celebrating Lansing’s mission of Respect, Service, and Excellence.

Daily schedule runs around 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no guaranteed weekends. You will work both on the road and in the yard, supporting customers and teammates with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• CDL license (B or A) is required.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Moffett forklift experience and forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 70 pounds.
• At least one year of driving experience.
• Experience with building products is helpful.
• Strong customer service, integrity, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CDL and forklift proficiency with piggyback truck.
• DRV123 reference/designation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement and represents Lansing professionally.
• Provides exceptional customer service on deliveries and in the warehouse.
• Split time between deliveries and warehouse duties.
• Operates a moffett forklift for deliveries.
• Interacts with customers and job-site crews.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized warehouse floor.
• May perform other duties such as cycle counts, inventory, or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
