Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team. The role involves delivering building products to customers, with a schedule that typically ends around 4:30 PM and no weekend work, depending on location.

Responsibilities include operating a Moffett forklift, assisting in the warehouse, and maintaining high customer service standards. The position requires a CDL license (A or B), clean driving record, and the ability to lift 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• CDL license (B or A) required with a clean driving record.
• Forklift (Moffett) experience and certification required.
• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work independently as part of a team.
• Experience with building products is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Split time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse.
• Use a moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interact with customers and crews at job sites.
• Provide exceptional customer service and uphold Lansing’s standards.
• Keep the warehouse clean and orderly and perform other duties (cycle counts, inventory, inside sales) as needed.

HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
