Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to support deliveries and warehouse operations. The role involves starting around 7:00 AM, ending around 4:30 PM, with generally no weekend work. You will interact with customers at job sites and ensure high service levels while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.

Building products experience is helpful. Candidates should have a CDL B (or A), a clean driving record, and forklift experience (moffett).

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life at Lansing: CDL Driver

HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer... and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a 'get-the-job-done' kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
