Job summary

The State of Georgia's Department of Driver Services seeks a Safety & Compliance Specialist 2 to support training and certification for CDL schools, instructors, and examiners throughout Georgia.

Under supervision, you will develop training, audit programs for compliance with federal/state rules, enter scores in DRIVES, generate reports, and partner with internal and external teams to improve CDL program quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of job-related experience, or one year at the lower level.
• Some positions may require a valid driver’s license.
• Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training to CDL schools, instructors, third-party testers, and third-party examiners.
• Conduct a needs assessment for TPT and CDL Schools that require targeted attention.
• Audit and monitor all CDL regulated programs, instructors, and Examiners for compliance.
• Interpret and maintain knowledge of state, federal, and other CD Regulations.
• Enter road test scores in DRIVES when submitted by Third Party Examiners.
• Record and enter data accurately, including CSTIMS scoresheets and schedules.
