Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) is seeking a Compliance Auditor to enforce CDL regulations across multiple counties. You will audit driver training schools and third-party testers, conduct inspections, and educate stakeholders on program requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; college degree may substitute for experience.
• Ability to conduct investigations and analyze facts to reach sound conclusions.
• Proficient in preparing clear oral and written reports.

Responsibilities

• Audits or inspects driver training schools and third-party testers for compliance in assigned areas.
• Conducts pre-inspections, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections of applicants and licensees as needed.
• Investigates complaints involving CDL training schools and testers; may involve court appearances.
• Educates owners, management, or officers on program requirements and responds to inquiries from stakeholders.
• Performs administrative duties and maintains equipment; travels statewide as needed.
