Job summary

Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is seeking an Inspector Specialist (MS Compliance Officer III) to oversee CDL testing programs and enforce compliance across the state. The role involves leading on-site evaluations of Third Party Testers and Administrators, scoring CDL skills tests, and performing audits to ensure fidelity to federal and state requirements.

You will travel in a state vehicle, provide coaching to testers and TPAs, and work in a fast-paced, mission-driven

Qualifications

• Must be able to conduct CDL tests (may be trained within 6 months).
• Experience with audits of testing operations and contract adherence preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships and provide coaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site evaluations of Third Party Testers and Third Party Administrators.
• Score CDL skills tests, conduct audits, and verify compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Travel statewide in a vehicle to provide coaching and training to testers.
