Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking dedicated Dockworker/Driver personnel to load, unload, and transport freight across service centers. You will operate forklifts or pallet jacks, secure loads, and ensure shipments meet DOT safety standards and schedules.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma, CDL Class A with endorsements, and strong English communication. OD offers competitive benefits and opportunities within a growing network.

Qualifications

Must read, write, and understand English.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
Experience with loading/unloading freight and operating related equipment.

Responsibilities

Load and unload freight on trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually.
Operate safely under DOT regulations and meet drug/alcohol testing requirements.
Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, or rope.
Read and interpret shipping labels and forms used in freight movement.
Be available to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules.
