Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals to join the OD Family as Combination Driver/Dockworker. The role supports loading/unloading freight, delivering between service centers, and ensuring safe, on-time transportation.

A strong work ethic, safety focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Applicants must have a valid CDL A with required endorsements, read/write/speak English, and meet DOT medical and testing standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazardous material endorsements.
• Must meet medical and drug/alcohol testing requirements and maintain an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a forklift or manually per DOT guidelines.
• Operate tractor-trailer safely and comply with hours-of-service rules.
• Read shipping labels and complete freight movement forms as required.
• Be available for flexible shifts including third shift, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
