Job summary

Austin Powder Company is seeking a safety‑mocused driver for on‑site and client locations. The role involves operating bulk equipment, transporting hazardous materials, and performing pre/post‑trip inspections to ensure compliance with all regulations.

The position requires a valid CDL (A or B) with clean driving history, ability to work outdoors in any weather, and readiness to start very early shifts. Training on blasting‑related equipment is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL Class A or B with clean driving record.
• Endorsements: Hazmat and air-brake highly preferred; ATF explosive possessor qualification may be required by site.
• Experience reading gauges and maintaining accurate operation records is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate vehicles safely; 20–30% of shift spent driving.
• Load, unload, and transport materials including hazardous goods.
• Maintain logs, verify loads against manifests, and report hours.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Operate MMUs at customer sites to produce bulk products for blasting.
• Follow all safety, regulatory, and company policies.
