160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from their first pre-trip inspection to the day they pass the CDL exam — in the yard, and behind the wheel. You will be based at a designated yard with a team of instructors and a Lead Instructor, occasionally covering regional yards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least 24 months of verifiable driving experience (Nevada exception: 5 years).
• MVR must be clean with no major violations.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Residence in the applying state or confirmed relocation plan.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills in yard and on road with hands-on training.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to meet CDL testing standards on first attempt.
• Maintain training records and track student progress.
• Report incidents to lead and corporate in a timely manner.
• Cover for other instructors at regional yards when needed.
