Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from their first pre-trip inspection to the CDL exam in the yard and behind the wheel. You will be based at a designated yard, collaborating with a team of instructors and a Lead Instructor.

Occasional coverage at other regional yards may be required. This is local, hands-on work for experienced drivers who want to stay home each night and be paid for outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching or mentoring CDL students preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills in yard and on-road settings.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections and maneuvers.
• Maintain training records and safety standards.
• Cover for other instructors at regional yards during emergencies.
