Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A driver to operate tractor-trailer or straight trucks to deliver and pick up palletized freight and large shipments. This full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and hourly pay between $24.00 and $30.75, with overtime after 40 hours.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday starting around 7:30 AM, with expected 10–15 hours of overtime weekly. Candidates must meet DOT and safety requirements and have a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Willing to obtain doubles/triples endorsement.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms.
• Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers.
• Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.
