Job summary

Maersk is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to safely transport freight to customers, distribution centers, and other designated locations. The driver will operate tractor-trailers, conduct required inspections, secure cargo, maintain records, and provide professional customer service.

Key responsibilities include loading/unloading as needed, following DOT regulations, and communicating with dispatch about routes and issues.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license and acceptable driving record.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• LTL/City driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and transportation compliance standards.
• Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial motor vehicles in varied driving and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers.
• Transport and deliver freight according to routes, schedules, and customer requirements.
• Perform required pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Load, secure, inspect, and protect cargo during transit.
• Maintain logs and delivery documents accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and issues.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight when required.
