Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with an acceptable driving record.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Experience driving LTL/City routes preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Ability to operate tractor-trailers in varied driving conditions.
• Accurate completion of logs, bills of lading, and inspection reports.
• Strong customer service, communication, judgment, and problem-solving.
• Attentive to cargo safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime and flexible schedules.
• English reading/writing required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A CMV, including tractor-trailers.
• Transport and deliver freight per routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Load, secure, inspect, and protect cargo.
• Follow DOT regulations, hours-of-service, and company policies.
• Maintain logs, bills of lading, and inspection reports.
• Communicate with dispatch about routes and delays.
• Maneuver vehicles at loading docks and customer locations.
• Report accidents, violations, mechanical issues, or cargo damage.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and work area.
• Provide courteous service to customers and partners.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required.
