Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver (LTL) to operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck, delivering and picking up palletized freight and large shipments. The role requires pre-trip inspections, timely deliveries, and compliance with DOT safety policies.

Hours are Monday–Friday with a 9:00 AM start and 10–15 hours of overtime expected weekly. Pay ranges from $24.00 to $30.75 per hour, based on experience, with potential for pay growth as per company policy and

Qualifications

At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms.
Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers.
Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes.
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.
