Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver - CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide courteous waste removal services to customers. You will ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports, while following all regulations and company policies.

The role requires operating a heavy truck on designated routes, loading refuse, and disposing at the proper facility, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the route and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the packer, and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers daily.
• Tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures and monitor waste quality.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and report issues.
• Maintain vehicle condition to minimize downtime and clean as needed.
• Complete route productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports.
• Adhere to productivity standards and safety policies.
• Participate in the company’s ReSOP program and related duties.

Education

Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
