Job summary

Republic Services seeks a CDL Driver B to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt waste removal services for customers. You will ensure the vehicle complies with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, servicing routes, loading refuse, tagging containers as needed, and maintaining productivity while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with air brakes endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle pre- and post-operation per policy, checking tires, fluids, safety equipment, gauges and controls.
• Safely operate truck on assigned route, read route sheet, service customers on route.
• Operate controls to load refuse, run compactor, dispose at facility.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag accordingly.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste.
• Clean area around spills following safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and remove waste from packer blade/truck body.
• Complete route productivity sheets and VCRs.
• Maintain productivity standards for timely service.
• Follow safety policies; participate in ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties.
• Demonstrate time management and reliability.
• Follow company policies and promote safety.
• Take pride in work and aim for goals.
