Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. You will complete daily vehicle reports and exhibit courteous, professional interactions with customers and teammates.

The role requires meticulous pre/post-trip inspections, adherence to regulatory requirements, and efficient route execution to maintain high service levels and safety across all assignments.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or by the dispatcher.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
