FedEx Freight in New York–Collamer is seeking a qualified CDL-B driver to pick up and deliver between service centers and customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The role involves manual lifting and multi-temperature environments.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, secure freight, complete reports, and assist with loading/unloading. Competitive pay with benefits such as health/dental, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and paid leave are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CDL-B with HazMat and Tank endorsements. Automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed.
• Minimum 1 year in straight truck or similar size vehicle within last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must be 21 years old
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
• Acceptable MVR based on hiring standards
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds
• Ability to read route schedules
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsabilités

• Operate straight trucks.
• Meet delivery schedules while delivering professional customer service.
• Secure freight for pick-up and delivery with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Load or unload truck as needed; assist others if required.
• Operate freight handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and DOT placarding requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
