Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a driver to perform pick-up and delivery duties between service centers and customers. The role requires a valid CDL-B with HazMat and Tank endorsements, at least one year of straight truck experience, and a clean MVR. You will handle freight in a multi-temperature environment and operate various loading equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL-Class B with HazMat and Tank endorsements*.
• Minimum 1 year straight truck experience or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Ability to read and understand route schedules.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks between Service Centers and customers.
• Ensure on-time deliveries with professional service.
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate delays or issues to dispatch.
• Load and unload freight and assist as needed.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Complete required paperwork and reports.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and DOT placarding.
