Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services for customers. You will ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

The role emphasizes pre-/post-operation inspections, on-route servicing, proper disposal at facilities, and strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B or higher with air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer as identified.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate a compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable material and maintain vehicle readiness.
