Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, ensure compliance with safety standards, and communicate professionally with customers and dispatchers while maintaining route productivity.

Main duties include loading/unloading waste, operating the compactor, completing VCRs, and following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service each customer as identified.
• Load and unload refuse and operate the compactor while disposing of material at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required by procedures.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports daily.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies; participate in relevant company programs.
