Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Relief Driver with a CDL-B license to safely operate a collection truck in Indianapolis and service designated routes with courtesy and efficiency.

You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, adhere to safety policies, and complete required reports such as VCRs and productivity sheets. Prior truck-driving experience is preferred; a valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes to service customers.
• Load refuse and operate the packer, dispose at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and staff daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Complete route productivity sheets and required reports.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies.
• Participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
