Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Relief Driver who operates a collection truck on assigned routes ensuring safe, prompt waste removal. You will inspect vehicles, service customers, and comply with safety standards and regulations daily.

Two years of truck driving experience and a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement are preferred. The role emphasizes courteous customer interactions, route efficiency, and adherence to company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good time management and reliability.
• Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on assigned routes and service customers.
• Load/unload waste according to safety guidelines and dispose at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues daily.
• Identify unsafe waste containers and tag accordingly.
• Monitor waste quality and container cleanliness.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and clean around work area.
